Policies for All Classes

• All required dance shoes may be purchased directly from FootNotes.
• For your convenience, we have several dancewear options available for purchase through the studio.
• Hair must be pulled up and secured for all classes.
• Ballet students must wear their hair in a bun.
• T-shirts and jewelry may not be worn in class.
• Leotards, activewear, crop tops, fitted athletic shorts and dancewear are recommended.
• Undergarments should not be visible.
• Please label all shoes and dance bags with student’s name.

Dress Code Policies By Class

Acrobatics

Bike-tard, leotard or any fitted dance or athletic wear. Bare feet.

Ballet

Girls: Black leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes. Hair must be pulled up and secured in a NEAT bun. No skirts or shorts.

Combination Classes (3-6yrs old)

Ballet/Tap: Pink leotard, pink or tan tights, pink ballet shoes and tan tap shoes. No diapers or pull-ups. Students should become accustomed to not wearing undergarments as soon as possible.      

Jazz/Tap: Any fitted dancewear or athletic wear such as sports bras, leotards, leggings, spandex shorts or sport shorts. Tan jazz shoes and tan buckle tap shoes. 

Contemporary

Bike-tard, leotard or any fitted dance or athletic wear. Bare feet.

Hip Hop

Any dancewear or comfortable clothing that allows an ease of movement. No jeans, skirts or baggy tees. Clean sneakers or tennis shoes are acceptable must.

Jazz

Fitted dancewear such as sports bras, leotards, tanks, leggings or shorts and most forms of athletic wear are acceptable. No tees or casual shorts. Slip on tan jazz boots. FootNotes carries all required shoes for purchase.

Tap

Fitted dancewear such as sports bras, leotards, tanks, leggings or shorts and most forms of athletic wear are acceptable. No tees or casual shorts. Black lace-up oxford style tap shoes. FootNotes carries all required shoes for purchase.
